The Victorian Charter of Healthcare outlines the rights that everyone has in relation to health care and these are as below.

A right to access health care

Safety

A right to receive safe and high-quality health care.

Respect

A right to be shown respect, and to be treated with dignity and consideration.

Communication

A right to be informed about services, treatment options and costs in a clear and open way.

Participation

A right to be included in decisions and to make choices about your health care.

Privacy

A right to privacy and confidentiality of your personal information.

Comment

A right to comment on your health care, and to have your concerns addressed.

Credentialed General Practitioners

General Practitioners are not employed by Euroa Health instead the service is provided by Euroa Medical Family Practice Doctors – Euroa Medical Family Practice.

All General Practitioners with admitting rights to Euroa Health Inc Acute Services are credentialed by the Director of Medical Services of Euroa Health and the Credentialing Committee at Goulburn Valley Health (inline with Safe Care Victoria Credentialing and scope of clinical practice from bettersafercare.vic.gov.au) who provide the recommendation to the Board of Management for approval of “admission rights”.

Current credentialed General Practitioners at Euroa Health are:

  • Dr Malcolm Altson, Director of Euroa Medical Family Practice
  • Dr Jimmy Huang, Director of Euroa Medical Family Practice

Euroa Health Inc continues to work closely with Goulburn Valley Health to provide a Transitional Care Program and Restorative Care Program for patients of all ages in our community which enables patients to receive medical care close to home and their support networks.
